Meet the Council

 

Abbe Ernstes

 Director of Leadership Giving, Hanover College – I work with alumni and other constituents in fundraising for the college. I moved a lot, but have lived most of my life in the Mid-West. I graduated high school from Kent Roosevelt High School, Kent, OH. Albion College, Class of 2001, Psychology Major, Ball State University, 2005, Masters in Public Relations with an Emphasis in Sports Communication. Vice President, Girls Inc. Board of Directors, Member, I-CASE Board of Directors, Independent Mary Kay Consultant, Various volunteers efforts with the college. Married to Matt “Ernie” Ernstes and we have two dogs. I like to run, read books and meet other young professionals!

 

Ben Foley

 I am a CPA at Sherman, Barber & Mullikin in Madison where I spend most of my time working with small business owners and individuals in an effort to maximize their profits and minimize their tax burden. I am a 1992 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover, received my undergraduate degree in accounting from Marian College in Indianapolis in 1996, and earned my CPA designation in 1999. Before returning to Madison in 2003, I worked in a large public accounting firm in Indianapolis. My wife Charley and I currently live a few miles west of Madison in the Kent area with our daughters, Emma and Ellie, who keep us busy with their activities, including soccer and 4-H. I am really looking forward to the progress that our YP group will be making in the near future!

 

Casey Goode – Co-Chairperson

 I relocated to the Hanover area several years ago and graduated from Southwestern High School. I attended Indiana University Southeast majoring in business with a concentration in Human Resources. I am employed by the Madison Railroad. This career has taught me more lessons than any of those learned in a typical classroom. With this position I have grown both professionally and personally. I also serve as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Indiana Railroad Transportation Group. I am an active member of the Southwestern Elementary PTO. I also serve as the Secretary of the MFYP. I currently reside in Nabb with my husband Michael, daughter Ashton and son Caleb.

 

 Corey Murphy

 Corey L. Murphy, a native of Mitchell, Indiana, has served as Executive Director of Economic Development Partners of Jefferson County Indiana since January 2007. Murphy is a 2001 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Evansville. He has successfully completed the Indiana Economic Development Course at Ball State University, Building Better Communities Course at Ball State University and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. Murphy is on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Economic Development Association and South Central Indiana Economic Development Group. He is also a member of the International Economic Development Council and Historic Madison, Inc. He resides in Hanover with his wife Nicole and two sons Evan and Eli. The primary goal of EDP is to help existing companies prosper, attract outside business and personal investment, and create a favorable climate for economic growth. Founded in 1983, EDP is a public-private non-profit economic development corporation serving Madison, Hanover and Jefferson County Indiana.

 

Eric Richardson

 Eric L. Richardson is a native of Scottsburg, IN.  He is a 1997 graduate from Milligan College with degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science and was also a 4 year starter for the Men’s Basketball Team.  After graduation he was an NCAA Division I Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Gardner-Webb University and Elon University for seven years before returning to Scottsburg.  He now works with Creative-image technologies, based out of Shelbyville, Ky., as a Multi-media Consultant.  He works with K-12 schools, colleges/universities and corporations to help them integrate A/V technology into  their classrooms, boardrooms and conference rooms.  He resides in Scottsburg, IN with his wife, Kristen and their two children Caden and Ellie.

 

Jake Stuart – Co-Chairperson

 Born and raised in Madison, I kept busy with my neighborhood paper route for 6 yrs, Boy Scout Troop 721, baseball, track and golf, all the while playing music with various other musicians around Madison. I was a DJ throughtout my High School years while working for the local record store and my fathers optical laboratory where I learned the trade of eyeglass lens manufacturing. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Ophthalmic Lens Fabrication and Office Management with minors in business and psychology. I worked in Bloomington for several years in the field before moving back to Madison in 1999 with my wife Amy and my now 2 girls Katie and Jessie Stuart. I have been with the Madison YP since Oct 2009. I became interested in photography about 6 yrs ago and since then started Blackmore Imaging. I focus mainly on musicians, local music events and anything Madison. I started competitively cooking in Madison’s Ribberfest about 8yrs ago and have been offering small catering over the last couple of years. I’ve also began using Facebook regularly to help the local community stay connected and informed of all that Madison has to offer. I currently manage the pages for the Madison Young Professionals, Joeyg’s Nightclub, The Heritage Trail of Madison, Buy Sell Trade (Madison, IN), MFA (Musicians for All), Lazee Boi BBQ, Madison Vision Clinic, Madison Photo Club, the Schafer Family Reunion.

 

Sandra Park-Topolski – Secretary

Sandra Parke Topolski is the donations and product services coordinator for Goodwill of Southern Indiana.  Originally from the Detroit, MI area, Sandra attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart before moving to Southern Indiana.  A resident of New Albany for the past 16 years, Sandra graduated summa cum laude with a degree in History from Indiana University Southeast. She spent two years as a graduate instructor in history at IU Bloomington while in the master’s program there.  She is a longtime Boy Scout volunteer in the George Rogers Clark district, and is also an ambassador for One Southern Indiana, the chamber of commerce for Clark and Floyd Counties.  She is the mother of a 15 year old son.  Sandra enjoys the opportunity that MFYP has given her to meet people in the Madison area both professionally and socially.

 

Trevor Crafon – Vice-Chairperson

 Graduated High School from Southwestern High School in 1998. Signed a full ride scholarship for basketball at The Citadel (Military College of South Carolina). Signed a full ride scholarship for basketball at Cumberland Univeristy, finish out college basketball career in 2002 and Graduated with a Bachelors of Physical Science. Graduate school at Indiana University, Bloomington in Kinesiology with an Emphasis in Sports Marketing & Management. Graduated with a Masters in 2004. Florida Commercial Real Estate 2004-2007. Owner and Operator of Cozy Acres Golf Complex & Golf Car Sales/Service (812) 273-3137. Married Sara Crafton 2008, she now is the Office Manager at Cozy Acres. Have an 8 month old son, J. Nash Crafton, born 8-8-09.
